Illuminating letters: for a swarm of bees

A tale of bees, medieval literature and a quest to put my phone down

Dear reader,

Let’s take a trip back in time through my archive, and through the history of bees.

There’s no physical copy of this comic, because it was put together for a slightly different purpose. I submitted this story to the the Faber / Observer / Comica Graphic Short Story Competition last year, and it didn’t go anywhere. I’m still really pleased with how it turned out, and how having the constraints of the 4 page format challenged me to tell the story in a different way. So, I’m looking forward to potentially trying again this year.
