Illuminating Letters: Composed upon Westminster Bridge
A look at London through the words of Wordsworth
Dear reader,
I never feel more like I might just be a Londoner than when I’m walking over a bridge. There’s something about striding with purpose, not that you often get the chance at rush hour amongst the crowds, and seeing the expanse of the Thames.
That seems to have been true for at least 200 years, if these words from by William Wordsworth are anything to go by…
I wanted to make something that felt a little slower this month, and I realised that a sonnet is the perfect length to have a line a page for a 16 page zine with a cover and back. So, I turned to the public domain of poetry and there was this mighty heart lying still.
You can buy a copy of this zine, which is a lovely landscape number if I do say so myself, and support the National Literacy Trust over in my store.
That’s all for now. I’ll see you soon in a behind the scenes post, which may or may not break down some of the pages from this one so you’ll want to stick around.
Write / draw again soon,
Natalie
